
ACCOUNT RECEIVABLE CLERK
AEG Petroleum LLC, based in Amarillo, TX, is a growing family owned and operated petroleum distributor. We are looking for a highly motivated Inventory Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Amarillo team and contribute to our continued success. Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely customer billing and payment application across our operations. This position supports the company’s financial stability by maintaining strong relationships with customers, assisting in resolving account discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of receivables data. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and distribute invoices to customers, ensuring accuracy in pricing, taxes, and delivery details.
Record customer payments (checks, ACH, wires, and credit card transactions) promptly and accurately.
Reconcile customer accounts and research payment discrepancies, short pays, or unapplied cash.
Communicate professionally with customers to resolve billing or payment issues in a timely manner.
Coordinate with the sales, dispatch, and credit departments to ensure proper account setup, pricing, and credit limits.
Monitor aging reports and assist with collections activities as needed.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly AR reports for management as assigned.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes by reconciling accounts and providing supporting documentation when needed.
Maintain accurate and organized customer files, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Billing
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with both internal teams and external customers
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Bi-lingual is a plus
