INVENTORY ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

AEG Petroleum LLC, based in Amarillo, TX, is a growing family owned and operated petroleum distributor. We  are looking for a highly motivated Inventory Accounting Specialist to join our Amarillo team and contribute to  our continued success. Job Summary:

The Inventory Accounting Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse inventory  operations within our accounting department. This role includes reconciling warehouse inventory, supporting day to-day stock needs, and maintaining accurate costing on products. The Inventory Specialist also manages vendor  communications, ensuring invoices are processed and vendors are paid on time. Success in this position requires  strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the inventory team and  external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile warehouse inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships. 

• Process vendor invoices, reconcile invoices to Purchase Orders, and ensure timely payment. 

• Support the warehouse team with inventory needs

• Monitor and control inventory costing.

• Maintain daily records and reports of shipments and invoices.

• Use organizational skills to track inventory in and out of multiple warehouses

Skills and Qualifications:

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and inventory software.
