
CLASS A CDL HAZMAT DRIVER
AEG Petroleum LLC, based in Amarillo, TX, is a growing family owned and operated petroleum distributor. We are looking for a highly motivated Class A Hazmat Driver to join our team and contribute to our continued success. Job Summary:
The Class A CDL Hazmat Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of fuel and petroleum products to commercial, agricultural, and industrial customers. This role requires strict adherence to DOT regulations, company safety policies, and all environmental standards. The driver represents the company at customer sites and plays a key role in ensuring superior customer service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport and deliver bulk fuel, lubricants, and other products to assigned customers using company equipment.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT and company guidelines.
Load and unload product in compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and reports as required by DOT.
Ensure all delivery documentation (invoices, bills of lading, etc.) is completed accurately and submitted promptly.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, site conditions, and any service issues.
Adhere to all DOT regulations, including hours-of-service, hazmat handling, and load securement requirements.
Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and spill prevention procedures.
Perform minor truck maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
Qualifications:
Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat
Tanker endorsements and/or experience preferred
Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
Knowledge of DOT regulations and hazardous material handling
Ability to lift and maneuver hoses, fittings, and other delivery equipment (up to 75 lbs.)
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed. Standard hours will be 7:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M.
