STAFF ACCOUNTANT

AEG Petroleum, based in Amarillo, TX is a growing family owned and operated petroleum distributor. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our continued success.

Job Summary:

As a Staff Accountant, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to our financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Execute precise cash reconciliations by comparing bank statements with internal records, identifying and rectifying any variances to maintain accurate cash flow management.

• Conduct thorough credit card reconciliations, verifying transactions against statements and resolving discrepancies to ensure financial integrity. - Monitor and analyze daily bank activity to identify unusual patterns or discrepancies, safeguarding the company's financial assets.

• Compile and meticulously review accounting data from various sources to support financial reporting and analysis.

• Support the efficient and accurate completion of month-end closing procedures, contributing to the preparation of comprehensive financial statements.

• Education: Possessing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
